The South Sumatra Police Chief highlighted dozens of palm oil factories operating without core plantations.

  South Sumatra (Sumsel) Police Chief Inspector General Andi R. Djajadi highlighted the existence of dozens of palm oil mills (PKS) in the province that operate without nucleus plantations, which have the potential to disrupt the sustainability of the palm oil industry.

During a coordination meeting on monitoring palm oil plantation businesses in Palembang on Tuesday, the Regional Police Chief said there were around 22 PKS without core plantations spread across several regions, namely six companies in Banyuasin Regency, six companies in Muara Enim, five companies in Musi Rawas, and five companies in Musi Banyuasin Regency.
