The U22 national team is ready to face the Philippines in the opening match of the 2025 SEA Games.

The Indonesian U22 national team is ready to compete in the men's football event at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, after coach Indra Sjafri announced that all 23 players have gathered.

"As of today, our squad is complete, with 23 players as per regulations. We are in training camp and will depart for Chiang Mai on December 6. The players are ready to compete in the first match on December 8 and the second match on December 12," said Indra, as quoted by the PSSI statement.

At the 2025 SEA Games, the Indonesian U22 national team is in Group C alongside Myanmar and the Philippines. Initially, the Garuda Muda were scheduled to play three group stage matches, including a match against Singapore on December 5. However, after Cambodia withdrew from the competition, Singapore was moved to Group A, so Indonesia now only plays two preliminary matches.

"Initially, there were three matches, but it changed to two. This is quite positive for us, including the change in the schedule for the first match from December 5 to 8. This change provides better preparation time," said Indra.
