Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank said Liverpool's second goal in their 1-2 win over his team in the 2025/2026 Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday morning WIB should have been disallowed by the referee.
"I think the second goal was a referee error (regarding the decision-ed.) When we scored, two Liverpool players had their hands on my player's back; it was very clear. I don't understand how that was allowed to happen," Frank said, as quoted on Tottenham Hotspur's official website on Sunday.
Liverpool's second goal came in the 66th minute through Hugo Ekitike. As he headed the ball into the Tottenham net, Ekitike appeared to place both hands on the back of Tottenham defender Cristian Romero to make him jump.
