The Selection Committee for Candidate Members of the Central Information Commission (KIP) for the 2026–2030 period announced that 378 applicants passed the administrative selection.
According to a press release from the selection committee received in Jakarta on Tuesday, the administrative selection process includes examining all registration documents received from December 22, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
The selection committee received files from a total of 3,140 applicants and after examining the documents decided that 2,762 applicants did not pass the selection due to age limit issues, non-compliance with mandatory documents, and experience requirements in public bodies.
The 378 applicants who passed the administrative selection process for KIP membership for the 2026–2030 period come from diverse backgrounds. They include public officials, professionals, and academics.
The committee stated that all stages of the administrative selection of prospective KIP members were carried out professionally based on statutory regulations and selection guidelines set by the Minister of Communication and Digital.
"The selection committee guarantees that this process will be transparent, objective, and accountable. We are working independently to maintain the integrity of each stage of the selection process," said Selection Committee Chair Fifi Aleyda Yahya.
Applicants who are declared to have passed the administrative selection for prospective KIP members will then take part in the paper writing selection stage.
After the paper selection, the selection committee will ask for input from the public and trace the track records of the selection participants.
The process will continue with psychological tests and in-depth interviews with the participants in the selection process for prospective KIP members.

Fifi invited the public to monitor the selection process for KIP members to ensure that the selected figures possess integrity, independence, and a strong commitment to guaranteeing the public's right to access public information in Indonesia.
