Media reports have revealed that Imam Ashour, a player for Al-Ahly SC of Egypt, has received strong offers from abroad during the current period, in light of the remarkable performances he has been delivering with his club and the Egyptian national team recently.

Imam Ashour played as a starter in Al Ahly’s match against Young Africans, which took place on Friday evening as part of the third round of the group stage of the African Champions League. During the match, he succeeded in creating a goal in the 75th minute, contributing to Al Ahly’s victory by two goals to nil.

According to a report by the Egyptian channel "Al-Hayat", there are confirmations that a major English club is interested in signing Imam Ashour, noting that there is a big surprise surrounding this offer, which has not yet officially reached Al-Ahly's management. 

The report explained that the details of the deal, including the name of the club and the financial value, will be revealed in the coming period, stressing that the negotiations are currently being conducted quietly.

An informed source confirmed that Imam Ashour has offers from other clubs in Europe, most notably from Türkiye, but Al-Ahly's management informed the player that he will not leave during January due to the team's need for his services.

A source in Al-Ahly said that the technical director completely rejected the idea of Imam Ashour leaving at the moment, and the coach confirmed to the club’s management that Imam Ashour is one of the most important elements of the team and cannot be dispensed with.

With this goal, Imam Ashour reached his 50th goal contribution with Al-Ahly in all competitions, having scored 31 goals and made 19 assists, making him one of the most prominent midfielders in the club. His ability to score and create goals puts him among the main pillars of the team.
