Media reports have revealed some new developments regarding the situation of Andrek Filippi, the Real Madrid star on loan to Olympique Lyonnais.
ESPN reported that Lyon coach Paulo Fonseca is very impressed with what Indrik is offering and has asked his team's management to pursue negotiations with Real Madrid regarding extending the player's loan with the French club until the end of the 2027 season.
He added that Lyon realizes that requesting to extend Indric's loan for an additional season will require a tremendous effort and seems difficult, however, the decision to extend the loan to the French club is the only option available now.
The network confirmed that Lyon knows that a permanent purchase of Indrik seems unlikely as Real Madrid are holding on to the player.
The network explained that despite Endric's enthusiasm to be in Lyon's ranks and the player's happiness, the situation surrounding the Brazilian international seems unclear in light of Real Madrid's current stance.
Andrek left Real Madrid during the current winter transfer window in January in order to move to Olympique Lyonnais on loan until the end of this season, given the difficulty of his participation as a starter with Los Blancos, where Kylian Mbappe and Garcia are in the center forward position.
Andrek has made a perfect start with Lyon, with the 19-year-old scoring four goals in three appearances for the French club so far, in an exceptional start for the young striker.
