Mohamed El Shenawy is on the radar of a Turkish club... and Al Ahly of Egypt responds

Mohamed El Shenawy, the goalkeeper of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, received an offer to leave the Red Castle before the winter transfer window closes.

ON Sport channel reported that El Shenawy received an offer from Turkish club Gaziantep to join them this January.

El Shenawy was surprised to find himself on the bench during the African Champions League match against Young Africans of Tanzania last Friday evening, which Al Ahly won 2-0.

El Shenawy believes he deserves to be a starter for Al Ahly, according to the channel, which indicated that the goalkeeper is open to leaving the Red Devils to be a starter for the Egyptian national team in the World Cup next June.

On the other hand, an informed source within Al-Ahly club clarified the truth about Mohamed El Shenawy receiving an offer to leave, confirming that the Red captain has no intention of leaving the team during the current winter transfer window.

The same source confirmed that El Shenawy has not received any offers recently and is currently focused on playing for Al Ahly in order to prepare for being with the Egyptian national team in the World Cup scheduled to start next June.

Mohamed El Shenawy has appeared in 13 matches with Al Ahly this season, keeping a clean sheet on 5 occasions while conceding 10 goals.
