Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi said Kuncoro's passing has brought deep sorrow to the national football community.
"We are all deeply shocked and devastated. Cak Kun (Kuncoro's nickname) began his professional career at Gajayana Stadium. Today, God called him home to the same stadium, right on the stadium's 100th anniversary," Yusrinal said in Malang on Sunday.
According to Arema FC management, Kuncoro is suspected of having a heart attack.
The incident began when Kuncoro finished the first half of the match with fellow Arema legends, such as Siswantoro, Hermawan, and Doni Suherman.
At that time he walked off the field to rest on the players' bench at Gajayana Stadium.
