Bayern secured a place in the last 16 after beating USG 2-0.
Bayern Munich secured a place in the round of 16 of the 2025/2026 Champions League after defeating visiting team Union Saint-Gilloise (USG) at the Allianz Arena on Thursday, Western Indonesian Time.

Vincent Kompany's team didn't play well in the first half, although they still created several chances, one of which was Harry Kane's early chance that failed to convert into a goal.

In the first half, it was USG who nearly scored first in the 28th minute. Starting from Anan Khalaili's pass from the right, striker Promise David managed to find space to meet the ball. David did so with a powerful header in front of goal, but Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer showed his class by blocking the header.

After a goalless first half, Bayern came out on top in the second half. Kane opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, converting Michael Olise's pass from a corner kick.

The Bavarians didn't have to wait long to score their second goal after Kane was fouled in the penalty area. Stepping up to take the penalty, the English striker completed the task brilliantly to give his team a two-goal lead in the 55th minute.

While eager to attack for a third goal, Bayern lost a man in the 63rd minute. They were reduced to 10 men after Kim Min-jae was shown a red card for a violent foul on Raul Florucz.
