The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has officially appointed John Herdman as the coach of the Indonesian senior and U-23 national teams, with his international coaching track record and experience in building the foundations of world-class national and club teams, as part of an effort to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian football.
Herdman's appointment was based on his career record of 160 official international matches, with 81 wins, 23 draws and 56 losses, or a winning percentage of 50.62 percent with an average of 1.66 points per match.
At the Canadian national team level, including the U-23 age group, he recorded 37 wins from 62 games with a winning average of 59.67 percent and 1.93 points per game.
