CAS suspends FIFA sanctions against seven naturalized Malaysian players
  Seven naturalized Malaysian national team players received a breather of fresh air after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) granted a temporary reprieve from their 12-month playing ban.

This decision temporarily suspends the sanctions previously imposed by FIFA, allowing the players to return to their footballing activities while awaiting the final decision.

"This decision means that the 12-month ban imposed by FIFA on the seven players from all football activities is temporarily suspended, and they are allowed to continue their careers and participate in all football activities until the final decision on the appeal at CAS is made," the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) said in a statement on its Facebook account .

The seven players who received temporary suspensions from CAS are Facundo Garces, Rodrigo Holgado, Imanol Machuca, Joao Figueiredo, Gabriel Palmero, Jon Irazabal, and Hector Hevel.
