Club Brugge beat Kairat 4-1 to keep their hopes of qualifying for the play-offs alive

  Club Brugge kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 play-off round after defeating Kairat 4-1 in their seventh league match at Ortalyk Stadium, Almaty, on Tuesday local time.

Club Brugge won the match thanks to goals from Aleksandar Stankovic, Hans Vanaken, Romeo Vermant and Brandon Mechele, while Kairat managed to reduce the deficit through Adilet Sadybekov, according to UEFA records.

Thanks to the victory, Club Brugge moved up to 23rd in the Champions League standings with seven points from seven matches, in a place to advance to the last 16 play-off round, but only ahead on goal difference from the elimination zone.
