Coconut water has not been proven to relieve itching caused by chicken pox
The Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) said there is no further evidence that coconut water can reduce itching caused by varicella or chickenpox.

"There is no scientific evidence that coconut water reduces itching (caused by chickenpox), but it can be given to children," said Dr. dr. Ratni Indrawanti, Sp.A, Subsp.IPT(K) Member of the IDAI Tropical Disease Infection Coordination Work Unit (UKK) in an online discussion in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Ratni said that so far, what has been proven is that coconut water contains a lot of electrolytes, such as potassium, which is good for maintaining the body's fluid balance.

Its good benefits have also been believed by our ancestors in ancient times as a mainstay for keeping the body healthy.
