Items in the form of portable cupboards, rice cookers , mats, and basic food packages were symbolically handed over by the Managing Director of Danantara Indonesia Operational Holding and chairman of the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI) Agus Dwi Handaya to representatives of the local government, namely the Head of Karang Baru District, Mr. Fachrurazi Syamsuyar.
In his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, Managing Director of Danantara Operational Holding Agus Dwi Handaya hoped that the assistance would help ease the burden on the residents of the temporary shelters and allow the community to quickly resume their daily activities with their families.
As is known, Huntara is a residential house built by Danantara Indonesia together with BUMN.
For the Aceh Tamiang region, 600 temporary shelters were built and have been inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto and are already occupied by disaster survivors.
Currently, the Huntara program is being continued in other areas in Sumatra that were also affected by the disaster.
Agus stated that Danantara, the government, and state-owned enterprises (BUMN) have actively contributed to improving infrastructure in disaster-affected areas from the beginning, from the emergency response phase to the recovery phase.
A number of logistical aid, health posts and public kitchens were activated through various channels, including air delivery.
At the same time, restoration of supporting infrastructure in the form of electricity, telecommunications and banking access was also carried out.
