Indonesian para badminton athlete Dwiyoko is perfecting his adaptation to the field by practicing the day before the 2025 ASEAN Para Games Thailand at the SPADT Convention Center, 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima, Wednesday (21/1).
He explained that the training was an important part of the preparation, especially for reading non-technical factors such as wind direction in the match arena.
"Earlier on the field, I just wanted to know which direction the wind was blowing, to read the situation and conditions," said Dwiyoko after training on Tuesday afternoon.
He admitted that since he first tried out the field (venue), he needed time to adjust to the changing conditions that could affect his game.
He further explained that in the early days of practice, the wind direction often changed, which made him hesitate in determining the game strategy.
