Five diseases that should avoid salt intake
Salt has long been considered the enemy of diets, with health trends and general health advice urging everyone to reduce their salt intake.

As written on the Hindustan Times page, Saturday (10/1) local time, cardiologist and heart transplant specialist Dr. Dmitry Yaranov explained that salt is not always harmful, but it can be dangerous for people with certain medical conditions so it is important to understand who should limit sodium.

"In some bodies, salt is not a spice. Salt is fuel for disease," he said.

First, in heart failure patients, he explained that excess sodium can trigger fluid retention in those with heart failure, worsening fluid buildup in the body. This often leads to more frequent hospitalizations and, over time, is associated with lower life expectancy.
