Forki proposes home base for karate training to foster achievement
The Indonesian Karate-Do Sports Federation (Forki) of Jakarta Province proposed a plan to build a home base for karate training as part of its 2026 strategic achievement development program during an audience with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.

The General Chairperson, Major General TNI Herianto Syahputra, said that this proposal was one of the main focuses conveyed to the Jakarta Provincial Government, in addition to improving the quality of trainers.

"We outlined several strategic programs for 2026, including plans for a home base for Forki Jakarta training and the planned inauguration of the board (Forki Jakarta for the 2025–2029 period), which we hope can be held at the Great Hall of the City Hall and attended in person by the Governor," Herianto said in an official statement.

He hopes the home base will become a center for integrated development of Jakarta karate athletes, from early childhood to high-achieving athletes, while also increasing the effectiveness of training programs.
