Google has announced a major update to its Chrome browser, bringing with it practical and useful features for users.
With the new update, the Gemini AI robot is now available in the browser control sidebar and can be accessed from the top of any open web page in Chrome. Users can now ask this robot various questions related to web pages and websites and the content of those pages and websites. The robot can also summarize articles, compare the specifications of several products that the user is searching for online, or compare the content between two or more web pages.
Chrome now supports the Nano Banana AI image generator. If a user launches Gemini and opens any webpage containing an image, they can edit or save that image to their device in a simple way.
With the new update, Gemini has become more integrated with Google services and applications, such as YouTube, Gmail, Google Shopping, Google Flights, and others, and the user can now use it, for example, to search for and purchase travel tickets, and to search for goods in online stores.
It is an advanced AI agent capable of performing multi-step tasks on web pages on behalf of the user, such as filling in traffic and payment information, booking tickets, completing purchases, managing subscriptions, checking invoices, collecting or signing documents, searching for rental properties, and much more.
