Manchester City manager Josep "Pep" Guardiola said the introduction of midfielder Rodrigo "Rodri" Hernandez in the second half provided a "breath of fresh air" to his team as they drew 0-0 with Sunderland in the 2025/2026 Premier League on Friday morning WIB.
"Rodri changed the game. For 45 minutes he proved he's the best in his position," Guardiola said, as quoted on Manchester City's official website.
Against Sunderland, Rodri came on early in the second half to replace Nico Gonzalez. It was the Spanish midfielder's first appearance since his injury in November 2025.
