"This figure is the cumulative figure for traffic flow through four main toll gates (GT), namely the Cikupa GT (towards Merak), the Ciawi GT (towards Puncak), the Cikampek Utama GT (towards Trans Java), and the Kalihurip Utama GT (towards Bandung)," said Rivan in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 20.44 percent compared to normal traffic (134,073 vehicles).
"This increase in traffic volume demonstrates the high level of public enthusiasm for movement ahead of the New Year. Therefore, Jasa Marga continues to optimize operational services, traffic management, and the readiness of officers in the field to ensure that road users' journeys remain safe, smooth, and secure," said Rivan.
For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions on D-2 of the 2026 New Year Holiday, namely with the majority of 72,517 vehicles (44.91 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 47,488 vehicles (29.41 percent) heading West (Merak) and 41,473 vehicles (25.68 percent) heading South (Puncak).
Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 35,711 vehicles, an increase of 41.40 percent from normal traffic.
For traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama GT of the Cipularang Toll Road, the number of vehicles was 36,806, an increase of 42.56 percent from normal traffic.
Total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung via the two toll gates was 72,517 vehicles, an increase of 41.99 percent from normal traffic.
Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via the Cikupa Toll Gate on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 47,488 vehicles, 3.74 percent lower than normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via the Ciawi Toll Gate on the Jagorawi Toll Road was 41,473 vehicles, an increase of 23.19 percent from normal traffic.
