"He kept his players awake for 28 hours straight"... In a bizarre incident, "ChatGPT" leads to the dismissal of the former Spain coach

The artificial intelligence program "ChatGPT" ousted Robert Moreno, the former coach of the Spanish national team, due to some strange decisions.

The 48-year-old Moreno left FC Sochi last September after collecting just one point from seven matches in the Russian league.

According to a report published by the English newspaper "The Sun", Moreno was dismissed from his position due to his excessive reliance on the ChatGPT program in making decisions and planning training sessions.

According to the club's former sporting director, Andrei Orlov, Moreno was a big fan of the ChatGPT program and used it to make some strange decisions.

During an away game against Khabarovsk, Moreno strictly adhered to the instructions of the artificial intelligence platform to plan his team's training schedule.

Strangely, the Spanish coach ordered his players to train at seven in the morning two days before the match and asked them to stay awake for 28 consecutive hours.

In an interview with Sports Russia, Orlov said: "When we were preparing for a trip to Khabarovsk, Robert said (I have arranged everything, I have set all the parameters of the trip in ChatGPT)."

He added: "I looked at the presentation. It was supposed that the players wouldn't sleep for 28 hours, so I asked him when the players would sleep? They didn't understand why we had to wake up at 5 a.m. and train at 7 a.m.."

It is also alleged that Mourinho used ChatGPT to search for a striker in the transfer market.

The club did indeed sign Kazakh striker Artur Shushenachev, but the deal did not achieve the desired results.

Orlov added regretfully, "For Moreno, ChatGPT has become one of his essential tools at work."

Under Moreno’s leadership, Sochi were relegated from the Russian Premier League to the First Division and faced harsh criticism from fans for his excessive focus on ball possession without capitalizing on opportunities.

It is worth noting that Moreno took over as coach of the Spanish national team temporarily for 3 matches, then was appointed as permanent coach in June 2019 after Luis Enrique resigned due to his daughter's illness.
