Pelita Jaya Jakarta's young basketball player, Hendrick Xavi Yonga, has chosen to use his time to strengthen his closeness or chemistry with other players ahead of the start of the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL), Saturday (10/1).
He said the remaining few days before the competition begins are an important opportunity to strengthen the chemistry between players within the team.
"To prepare for IBL 2026, personally, one of the things I need to do is improve communication with fellow players," Hendrick said during the IBL 2026 Opening Preparations event in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He admitted that the IBL competition this season is predicted to be increasingly fierce, so mental readiness and team togetherness are crucial factors, in addition to technical aspects on the field
Therefore, Pelita Jaya, especially him, is trying to maximize the final preparation period by strengthening personal relationships between players.
According to him, it is believed that well-built chemistry will have a direct impact on the team's performance, both during training and during official matches.
