Herdman: Every time I wake up, my only thought is the World Cup for Indonesia.

  New Indonesian national team coach John Herdman revealed that he is so ambitious to take the Garuda team to the "next stage", namely the upcoming World Cup in 2030, that he doesn't think about anything else every morning, other than leading Indonesia to qualify for the World Cup.

"Every day I wake up, every day when I get out of bed, the only thing I think about, besides my family, is getting this team through to the World Cup," Herdman said in Jakarta on Tuesday at his first press conference as Indonesia coach.

Herdman considers coaching Indonesia a very exciting opportunity in his career, having led the Canadian women's and men's teams to compete in the World Cup.
