In this match, Gabon actually took the lead first through Guelor Kanga and Denis Bouanga, but Ivory Coast was able to turn things around through Jean-Philippe Krasso, Evan Guessand, and Bazoumana Toure.
This victory made Ivory Coast occupy the first position in the final standings of Group F of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with seven points from three matches, while the defeat made Gabon rank fourth without any points, eliminated from this tournament.
