The Algerian national team topped Group E of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, while the Burkina Faso national team advanced to the round of 16 as group runners-up after progressing through their final match.Algeria topped Group E of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Equatorial Guinea 4-1 at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, according to CAF records.
In this match, Algeria won thanks to goals from Zineddine Belaid, Fares Chaibi and Ibrahim Maza, while Equatorial Guinea managed to reduce the deficit through Emilio Nsue.
Thanks to this victory, Algeria consolidated their position at the top of Group E of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with nine points from three matches.
On the other hand, Equatorial Guinea is certain to fail to qualify for the next round after only finishing bottom of Group E with no points after playing three matches.
