Morocco: nearly 20 million tourists recorded in 2025

The Moroccan tourism sector is booming. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the Kingdom achieved a historic performance in 2025 with nearly 20 million tourist entries.

Clearly 19.8 million representing revenues of 13 billion dollars. An increase of 14% compared to visitors recorded in 2024, and a performance never recorded in the country. To achieve this feat, Morocco has focused on its 2023-2026 roadmap which highlights the diversification of the offer, the modernization of infrastructure and the improvement of the quality of services.

Furthermore, the proliferation of airlines and direct flights with Europe, the Middle East and Africa has made it possible to attract a growing flow of visitors. A profitable strategy according to the authorities, especially since the tourism sector is considered one of the main engines of economic growth with a 7.3% contribution to gross domestic product.

The Shereef Kingdom is targeting 26 million tourists by 2030. The country will co-organize the Football World Cup that same year with Spain and Portugal.
