Murray is expected to be out for at least a month with an ankle injury.
Sacramento Kings basketball player Keegan Murray will be out for a month in the 2025-2026 NBA season due to an ankle injury.

The NBA website reported Wednesday that Murray suffered the injury during the Kings' loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. The club announced the player's condition before the game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The examination results showed that the guard had a moderate sprain in his left ankle, so the medical team decided to temporarily suspend his playing activities.

Murray's absence is a blow for the Kings, who are struggling to improve their performance this season.

The fourth-year player also missed a significant amount of time earlier in the season, with a thumb ligament injury that caused him to miss the first 15 games.

After returning to the court, Murray showed important contributions for the Kings.

In the 19 games he has played this season, he has averaged 14.6 points per game (ppg), 6.1 rebounds per game (rpg), 1.6 blocks per game (bpg), 1.5 assists per game (apg), and 1.2 steals per game (spg).

This performance confirmed his role as one of the main pillars in the Sacramento Kings' forward sector.

Currently, the team remains in a difficult situation. They sit in 14th place in the Western Conference standings, with a record of eight wins and 28 losses.

This condition makes the Kings need consistency, as well as squad depth to remain competitive.
