Indonesian female para-swimmer Siti Aisyah said that her parents' advice had boosted her enthusiasm for her debut at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games (APG) in Thailand, which will be held from January 20-26.
The young athlete, who is still in eighth grade of junior high school, is determined to perform at his best to deliver the best possible performance for Indonesia.
"My parents always told me to maintain my health and attitude, especially when I was abroad, and that became a motivational booster for me to debut at the ASEAN Para Games later," said Aisyah, after training at the Indonesian Paralympic Training Center (PPPI), Delingan, Karanganyar Regency.
Aisyah stated that, in addition to this advice, her parents also reminded her to focus on training and not to think too much about the target of winning a medal.
He explained that preparations for the Southeast Asian multi- sport event were focused on improving physical condition and endurance, ahead of departure to Thailand on Thursday (15/1).
To achieve maximum results, the 16-year-old girl consistently strives to maintain a healthy lifestyle, so that she remains in top condition until the next match.
