Persija Jakarta officially announced the arrival of Fajar Fathurrahman from Borneo FC as the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tigers' first recruit in the second round of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League.
"He brings experience and qualities ready to help Persija achieve its goals. Fajar's recruitment was not without reason. Fajar is currently one of Indonesia's best full-backs," read an official statement from Persija.
The 23-year-old, who has signed a 3.5-season contract with Persija, arrives after completing more than five years with Pesut Etam, making a total of 136 appearances, scoring two goals and providing 13 assists.
This season, out of 17 Super League matches, he has appeared in 14 matches, all of which were as a starter, with one assist.
Interestingly, his only assist this season came in Borneo's 3-1 victory over Persija at Segiri Stadium. His assist was for the Pesut Etam's final goal, scored by Douglas Coutinho in the dying minutes.
