Regi Nelwan, Deputy Chair of the 2026 Proliga Committee, stated that this season's Proliga will introduce several format adjustments to improve the quality of competition and athlete performance.

"The third-place match and final will be a best-of-three match. However, if one team is already leading 2-0, the third match will not be played," said Regi Nelwan, who also serves as Head of the Competition and Match Division of the Indonesian Football Association (PBVSI), in an official statement on Wednesday.
