In addition to their use in agriculture and logistics, UAVs have also become a crucial foundation for rural security efforts.
To address the inefficiencies and high labor costs of conventional patrol models in rural areas, Qilin District in Qujing City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, has adopted intelligent UAV technology, establishing a command system as a common practice.
The intelligent system is undergoing trials in three core communities in Yuezhou and has deployed six UAV bases, equipped with six regular UAVs and one portable handheld UAV for emergency situations, forming an integrated surveillance network.
Patrol coverage spans the entire city, meeting diverse rural security protection needs.
"Previously, we relied on manual patrols, which took almost an entire day to cover remote areas. Now, UAVs can cover the entire area in half an hour and automatically identify situations such as fires and illegal construction," said Tang Fei, a staff member of the Yuezhou Qilin District government.
The UAVs are widely used in various scenarios. In forest fire prevention, they can quickly identify fire situations and issue warnings, through efficient patrolling and fire monitoring.
