Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov defeats Figueredo

Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov achieved a notable victory over Brazilian Davison Figueiredo, in a fight that took place as part of the preliminary card for the "UFC 324" event, which was held in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The Brazilian fighter had exceeded the allowed weight limit during the official weigh-in before his fight against Nurmagomedov, which resulted in 25 percent of his prize money being deducted and transferred to his Russian rival.

This victory is an important step in Nurmagomedov’s career, as it strengthens his position as one of the top contenders for the title, especially since he currently occupies second place in the world rankings for his weight class within the “UFC”, with a record of 20 wins against one loss without any draws.

In contrast, Figueiredo is ranked sixth in the bantamweight division, with 25 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw.

It is worth noting that Omar Nurmagomedov is the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the most prominent and influential legends of mixed martial arts (MMA) in the history of the "UFC" organization.
