Samsung SDI is reportedly testing a massive 20,000mAh dual-cell battery for smartphones.

As reported by Gsmarena on Wednesday local time, a rumor said Samsung is developing a dual-cell silicon-carbon battery setup consisting of a 12,000mAh cell with a thickness of 6.3mm, paired with an 8,000mAh cell with a thickness of 4mm.

During testing, the battery reportedly achieved an impressive screen-on-time (SoT) of 27 hours and around 960 annual charge cycles.
