Sporting moved one step closer to qualifying for the last 16 after beating PSG 2-1.

  Sporting is one step closer to qualifying for the round of 16 after defeating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 2-1 in the seventh match of the Champions League phase at the Jose Alvalade Stadium, Lisbon, Tuesday local time.

In this match, Sporting secured victory thanks to two goals scored by Luis Suarez, while PSG managed to equalize through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to UEFA records.

This result moves Sporting up to sixth place in the Champions League standings with 13 points from seven matches, trailing only fifth-placed PSG on goal difference.

Both Sporting and PSG are required to win their final group stage matches to secure automatic qualification for the Champions League round of 16.
