The Southeast Asian disability sports festival, the 13th ASEAN Para Games 2025 Thailand or APG officially ended at the 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima, Monday night and Malaysia will next host in 2027.
The final moment of the multi-sport championship for the disabled was marked by the handover of the ASEAN Para Sport Federation (APSF) flag from Thailand, which was received by Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports Muhammed Taufiq Bin Johari.
Before the flag-giving ceremony was carried out, a series of closing events began with musical performances, dances, fireworks, a parade of contingents, and the screening of a video documenting the athletes' struggles in the event.
In the parade, the Indonesian contingent was led by wheelchair fencer Akhmad Saidah who managed to bring home a gold medal in the men's individual foil A event.
Thailand is carrying out an organizing concept that emphasizes the spirit of equality and collective pride, as reflected in this edition's motto, namely "Create Pride Together".
This motto represents the spirit of unity among all athletes, officials, and the community in building shared pride through sport.
