Indonesian men's singles pair Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and mixed doubles pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu have been confirmed absent from the BWF World Tour Super 300 Thailand Masters 2026 tournament at Nimibutr Arena, Bangkok, Thailand, from January 27 to February 1.
Ginting was withdrawn from the tournament due to his recovery from a hip injury sustained during the 2026 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters. Meanwhile, Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu is experiencing a problem with her right arm that could worsen if she continues to compete.
"Anthony Sinisuka Ginting has been withdrawn from the 2026 Thailand Masters due to his ongoing recovery from a hip injury. We hope Ginting will be fully fit by the start of the Asia Team Championships next week," said Indonesian men's singles coach Indra Widjaja in a written statement on Monday.
Meanwhile, mixed doubles coach Rionny Mainaky explained that Felisha complained of discomfort in her right arm after appearing in the semifinals of the 2026 Indonesia Masters.
"After the Indonesia Masters semifinals, Felisha reported a problem with her right arm that was severely affecting her movement. After discussions with the medical team, the Head of the Presidential Development Division, and the Head Coach, it was decided to withdraw them from the Thailand Masters to focus on their recovery," said Rionny.
