Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir said Indonesia's achievements at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games (APG) prove that Indonesia is a strong nation.
"The Red and White Contingent has carried out its national duties well, making us proud and proving that we are a resilient and victorious nation," said Erick Thohir in an official statement in Jakarta on Monday.
The Indonesian contingent concluded its campaign at the 2025 Asian Games in Thailand from January 20-26 by winning 135 gold medals, 143 silver medals, and 114 bronze medals.
This achievement placed Indonesia in second place in the final standings, below host Thailand, which emerged as the overall champion with 175 gold, 155 silver, and 157 bronze medals.
The Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his gratitude to the athletes, coaches, officials, Chef de Mission (CdM) team and the Indonesian NOC who were able to maintain the great name of the Indonesian nation on the international stage.
He said that these parties had made every effort to achieve good results in the largest sports event for disabled athletes in Southeast Asia.
