"From the start, our focus has been on building a long-term basketball ecosystem in Solo. We made it to the playoffs in the first season, and so did the second. We hope to make it to the playoffs in the third season as well," said Club President Yakup Hasibuan during the Kesatria Bengawan Solo Media Day at Sritex Arena Solo, Central Java, on Friday.
However, unlike the previous season, he said that this season the Knights have new targets.
"Of course, our targets are also new ones, the championship. Initially, we were quite conservative, aiming for the semifinals, the final. Of course, this time we're aiming for the championship," he said.
The arrival of a number of new players, he said, also added to the team's enthusiasm for facing this year's competitive season.
"Of course, we've made a lot of changes to our lineup, including a new coaching staff, and a new head coach. There are a lot of changes in terms of composition, but we as management don't want to get too technical," he said.
