During the UMEX 2026 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the Czech company TRL Drones unveiled a new drone designed to intercept drones.
The new drone is distinguished by its streamlined structure, its wingspan of 1.74 m, and it carries combat payloads of up to 10 kg. According to its developers, it can fly at speeds of up to 500 km/h, allowing it to intercept fast aerial targets, reach an altitude of 4,500 m, fly for 45 minutes, and cover 200 km on each mission.
The TLR-X drone is designed for rapid interception and catapult launch, and can engage aerial targets of various sizes, such as small helicopter drones, and even helicopters flying at low altitudes.
According to NextGenDefense, the main feature of this aircraft is its AI-powered software, which enables it to detect targets even in electronic jamming conditions.
Experts at TRL Drones also confirmed that the aircraft can be modified for use in aerial surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as for guiding aerial bombs and munitions.
