The Director General of Digital Ecosystems at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, stated that his ministry has taken various preparatory steps to ensure that the implementation of biometric driver's license registration runs smoothly, safely, and without inconvenience to the public.
"The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs plays a crucial role in ensuring that this biometric registration policy can be implemented in a coordinated manner, both in terms of infrastructure, regulations, and public understanding," Edwin told ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.
He explained that the Ministry of Communication and Digital has sent official letters to all cellular operators to prepare supporting infrastructure for biometric registration.
This step aims to provide convenience and comfort for the public when registering.
