China on Tuesday (13/1) launched the Yaogan-50 01 remote sensing satellite into space.
Launched at 10:16 a.m. Beijing Time (9:16 a.m. WIB) on a modified Long March-6 rocket, the satellite has entered its designated orbit, according to the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
The satellite will be used for national land surveying, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
This launch is the 624th flight mission carried out by the Long March rocket series and marks China's first successful orbital launch in 2026.
