Two killed and one wounded in two Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon
The National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone carried out a raid targeting a yard near a house in the town of Kfardounine in the Bint Jbeil district.

In a second raid, Israeli warplanes targeted a three-story building in the industrial area of Ghaziyeh town in the Sidon district with two missiles at dawn today, according to local Lebanese media, including Al-Jadeed TV.

Regarding the casualty count, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the raid on Kfardounine "resulted in the martyrdom of two citizens."

The ministry also reported in a second statement that one person was injured as a result of the raid that targeted the town of Ghaziyeh.

Lebanon is living under increasing fears of a new large-scale Israeli aggression. For some time now, Hebrew media have been talking about the Israeli army “completing” a plan to launch a “large-scale attack” against Hezbollah positions, in the event that the Lebanese government and army fail to implement their pledges to disarm the party.

This comes at a time when Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement through almost daily raids, in addition to its continued occupation of five Lebanese hills in the south that it seized during the last war, as well as other Lebanese areas that it has occupied for decades.

A ceasefire agreement had ended an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that began in October 2023, before escalating into a full-blown war in September 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and about 17,000 injuries.
