World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight champion (90.7 kg) Fabio Wardley said he is ready to defeat Tyson Fury, who has ended his retirement, just like he has overcome other opponents.
"Just like any other fight, I'm going to beat him," said Fabio Wardley about facing Tyson Fury, as reported by Boxing Scene, which was monitored in Jakarta on Monday.
Fury has announced his return to boxing, ending a brief retirement that followed two consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, in which the former heavyweight champion insisted he was disadvantaged in the scoring.
With Fury's return to the boxing stage, the heavyweight competition landscape has changed again.
During Fury's absence, Oleksandr Usyk vacated his WBO title rather than face Wardley, opting to pursue a fight with Deontay Wilder.
