The Audi Formula 1 team made its car test debut at the Barcelona circuit, Catalunya, on Sunday.
The Audi team, which is a debutant in the 2026 Formula 1 season, has made a number of preparations, including conducting private testing in Barcelona.
"We're officially on the road. An impressive moment in Barcelona as the R26 car took to the track for the first time. First day. First lap. Our drivers' first chance to test the car," Audi wrote on its official social media pages on Monday.
In the R26 test, two Audi drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, have tested the car on the track.
During the closed test, Hulkenberg and Bortoleto's livery concept was still kept hidden from the public even though Audi had previously announced last November that the initial concept of their first livery would be dominated by titanium, black and red.
This closed test is also part of Audi's preparations after previously successfully announcing the engine test on January 7.
Audi is scheduled to officially launch the team and their livery in Berlin on January 20.
After launching the team, the German factory team will also undergo a private test session in Barcelona on January 26-30, then continue with a pre-season test session in Bahrain from February 11-13 and February 18-20.
