Indonesian boccia team coach Andrian said that winning at least two gold medals is the most realistic target that can be achieved at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games.
He explained that the target was still achievable, considering that the competition in the Southeast Asian regional event was quite tight, especially from the host, Thailand, which was fielding its full strength.
"We are targeting at least two gold medals from the 11 events we are competing in, and that target is projected for the men's BC1 individual event and the women's BC2 individual event," Andrian said after arriving in Solo.
He further explained that Indonesia sent a total of 11 athletes, consisting of six men and five women.
They will compete in individual events BC1 to BC4 for men and women, mixed doubles BC3 and BC4, and team events BC1/BC2.
According to Andrian, the ASEAN Para Games is the toughest level of competition for boccia in the region.
