Arema FC has added depth to its squad by recruiting Brazilian center-back Walisson Moreira Farias Maia in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League mid-season transfer window.
Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi said in Malang City, East Java, on Thursday that the recruitment of the 34-year-old defender was a strategy to increase the club's solidity in navigating the second round of the national football top competition.
"With his qualities, we are confident he can help improve Arema FC's performance and defensive stability," said Inal, Yusrinal's nickname.
