Audero's impressive performance wasn't enough, Cremonese lost to Atalanta

Indonesian national team goalkeeper Emil Audero put in an impressive performance despite failing to prevent Cremonese from suffering a 1-2 defeat away to Atalanta in the 24th week of the 2025/26 Italian League at Gewiss Stadium on Tuesday morning WIB.

Atalanta took a two-goal lead thanks to Nikola Krstovic and Davide Zappacosta. Cremonese's goal was scored by Morten Thorsby.

This result puts Atalanta closer to a European spot. Raffaele Palladino's squad currently sits in seventh place with 39 points, two points behind Como in sixth.

Meanwhile, Cremonese is stuck in 16th place with 23 points, as reported on the official Serie A website.

Atalanta appeared confident from the start in front of their home crowd. The first threat came in the 9th minute through Giacomo Raspadori, but Emil Audero was quick to parry the ball away.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 13th minute. Nikola Krstovic scored Atalanta's opener with an acrobatic shot after spinning in the penalty area that Audero failed to block.

Cremonese tried to fight back, but the Orobici defense remained solid and made it difficult for the visitors to create clear-cut chances.

Cremonese's goal was breached again in the 25th minute. Davide Zappacosta cut in from the right flank, dribbled past a defender before unleashing a powerful shot into Audero's left net. The score remained 2-0 at halftime.
