Donyell Malen gave AS Roma a 2-0 win over Cagliari
  AS Roma secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Cagliari in the 24th week of the 2025/26 Italian League at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday morning WIB.

New striker Donyell Malen was the star of the match, scoring his first brace for the Giallorossi.

This victory doesn't change Roma's position, which currently sits in fifth place in the Serie A standings with 46 points, level with Juventus. However, Juventus is in fourth place due to a superior goal difference.

Meanwhile, Cagliari is in 12th place with 28 points, as reported on the official Serie A website.

The match was tight from the start. Roma broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through Donyell Malen, who scored the opener with a beautiful touch past goalkeeper Elia Caprile. It was Malen's first goal at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Dutch striker got his name on the scoreboard again in the second half, in the 65th minute.

Receiving a perfect pass from Zeki Celik, Malen calmly finished the chance to double Roma's lead to 2-0.

Cagliari, trailing, tried to increase the pressure in the final minutes. Ibrahim Sulemana nearly scored, but his effort hit the post.

No further goals were scored in the remainder of the match, with AS Roma winning 2-0.
