Cooper Flagg missed the NBA Rising Stars due to injury
The Dallas Mavericks announced that rookie Cooper Flagg has suffered a left foot injury, which will keep him out of the NBA's Rising Stars, which is part of the 2026 All-Star series.

The NBA website stated on Friday that the 19-year-old suffered the injury against Phoenix and that a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan revealed a midfoot injury, necessitating a temporary rest to allow him to recover.

The injury requires recovery time to prevent recurrence.

The Mavericks said updates on the player's condition will be provided as developments develop.

Flagg was Dallas' first pick in the summer's NBA draft.

He averaged 24.4 points per game in the 2025-2026 season, along with 6.6 rebounds and four assists.

The rookie also set a record in four straight games, starting with forty-nine points against Charlotte.

The Mavericks had lost eight straight games heading into the All-Star break.
