Discord will roll out a youth safety feature globally starting in early March, defaulting all new and existing users to youth-only settings unless they verify themselves as adults.
As reported by Gizmochina, the new policy introduces stricter content controls, restricts access to age-restricted spaces, and introduces new communication rules to curb unwanted contact without disclosing users' age status to the public.
Under this system, sensitive images and videos will remain blurred until the user is confirmed as an adult. Only verified adults can access age-restricted channels, servers, and app commands, speak on the server platform, and change message request settings.
